Roofing in Arundel

Arundel is one of the most historic towns in West Sussex, with housing running from medieval and Georgian buildings through Victorian terraces to later homes.

Many of these roofs are older than the people living under them, built in natural slate, clay tile, lead and flint rather than modern materials. The town sits on the River Arun a few miles from the coast, so it catches damp off the river as well as salt laden wind and driving rain from the Channel, which lifts tiles, works mortar loose and corrodes older fixings. Old roofs reach the end of their life in stages rather than all at once.

We work across Arundel every week, on everything from a single slipped tile to a full re-roof. Whatever the job, we come and look at the roof properly before quoting, and the price we give you is for the work in front of us.
